The Nerdy Stuff (That Actually Matters)
These bulbs hit that sweet spot at 253.7nm to wipe out microbial DNA. To make sure that light actually gets out of the bulb, we use high-purity synthetic quartz. It doesn’t “cloud over” or solarize over time, which is a common fail point with cheaper glass. If you’re running a massive system, you know that stability is everything. We keep the wattage tight. If your process needs “instant-on” sterilization, just factor that minute into your timer. One last tip: keep your cooling fans humming. If the quartz gets too hot, it stresses the material. That can cut your bulb’s life in half, no matter how good the internals are. Keep them cool, and they’ll take care of you.
